UPS & FedEx Shippers: Important Info re. Peak Season Shipping 2019

 In Industry News

The industry is gearing up for peak small parcel shipping season. For you as a shipper, in addition to the peak season surcharges, there are two important things you need to pay attention to:

  1.  The latest date a package can be shipped and still make the due date you need.
  2. Temporary rules that affect your ability to get refunds for service failures during the peak period.

The higher than normal volumes the carriers handle during the holiday season also mean they’re more likely to make billing errors. So keep auditing your invoices so you can get the billing error refunds the carriers owe you!

Below is information on key peak season service changes taken from the UPS and FedEx websites as guidance for shippers to use from the end of November through December.
